According to an official statement given by Knowlarity Communications Pvt. Ltd, it states that the Singapore-headquartered cloud-based telephony services provider has acquired Mumbai-based Sunoray Solutions Pvt. Ltd for an undisclosed amount.
The statement also revealed that this acquisition would enable Knowlarity to get its hands, not only on Sunoray’s small and medium-sized enterprise market but also on the Mumbai-based company’s artificial intelligence and machine learning products.
Commenting on this acquisition, Ambarish Gupta, founder and chief executive of Knowlarity said, “This acquisition complies with our strategy of securing organizations that supplement our scale-up, in both ways gaining income as well as the breadth of offering to our clients. We would focus aggressively on targetting the Enterprise Customer with this extended product.”

The company was founded by Rahul Arora and Sumontro Roy back in 2014. It basically offers customer relationship management solutions and SMEs cloud-based telephony, which can be downloaded as mobile apps.
The company was founded back in 2009 as a joint effort of Gupta and Pallav Pandey, the two alumni’s from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur) back in 2009.
For enterprises, it offers cloud communications products such as SuperReceptionist, SuperFax, SuperCaller and, SuperConference. For large- scale organizations, it provides interactive voice response solutions, which can be integrated into their tech systems.
Knowlarity has its headquarter in Singapore, with several offices in India, namely in the cities of Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Gurugram (its first office).
The company boasts of a clientele list which includes Via.com, Deliveroo, Darwin Interior, Yoga+, Global Academy, Bayzat, and High-Speed Internet Service Technology LLC among its 15,000 clients. Currently, it has a workforce of more than 300 employees based in 8 offices in India, Middle East, and South East Asia. Sequoia Capital, Mayfield Fund, and Delta Partners are huge investors in Knowlarity.
Back in November 2016, Knowlarity has raised an astonishing amount of capital in an Rs 133-crore Series C round led by Dubai-based private equity firm Delta Partners Capital. The round also had Sequoia Capital India and Mayfield fund as a participant.
The company has already made two acquisitions previously, as back in 2014, it had bought Delhi-based cloud telephony start-up Unicom Techlabs for an undisclosed amount and in May 2016, it made the acquisition of Smartwards Services Pvt. Ltd, a customer-engagement firm.
